It was a sunny spring day. There was no rain in the forecast. It was the beginning of a marriage that everyone believed would last forever. 22-year-old Annabeth was back in her room wearing a white dress. Her soon-to-be husband, Luke Castellan, was up at the altar, extremely nervous for a reason nobody really understood. 22-year-old Percy Jackson sat with his wife Rachel in the crowd. His two best friends, about to be married. He was happy for them... right? Rachel looked at Percy and asked, "are you okay?" Percy nodded, feeling queasy. Jason, Frank, and Leo were the groomsmen, for some reason not including Percy. Luke's odd choice of wedding party created a fair bit of drama between the bridesmaids. "Do you guys know why Percy isn't one of the groomsmen?" Annabeth asked. Her two brides maids, Hazel and Piper, looked at each other with raised eyebrows. "No, I have no idea why!" Piper laughed. "Yeah, no idea," replied Hazel sarcastically. Annabeth didn't feel comfortable continuing the conversation. The ceremony started. And before they knew it, it had ended. It concluded with a kiss that, to Annabeth, felt a bit forced. Nevermind, a LOT forced. The reception soon followed, along with an unseen catastrophe for the ages. The music, courtesy of Apollo, started this. It started out sweet and soft, but soon started to get more upbeat. And then after that it got downright suspicious. The songs were about the bride running away with a different man, after she finds out a "sorrow truth" vice versa. Everyone else was completely oblivious, but by "Speak Now" by Taylor Swift, Percy was drenched in sweat and hypervenilating. And by "This Love," Percy had left the party. Piper noticed and quickly followed, honestly getting quite scared. She found him sitting on a flipped-over garbage can in an alley about a block away. "Percy!" She said as she ran and crouched down by his side. Percy exhaled, quite glad it wasn't Rachel. "Percy!" Piper said again. "Will you tell me what's wrong?" "Apollo---Annabeth..." Percy breathed. "Percy, what's going on?" Piper charmspeaked, now generally curious. "Apollo said, before my wedding and Annabeth's too, that we were making all the wrong choices," Percy breathed. "A-and?" Piper asked. "Piper," Percy replied. "I'm in love with Annabeth."
