I sat back against my bed board. A tear rolled down cheek. "Why" I thought. "Why did I have to yell, why did I let her leave?" 1 day earlier: "You are my responsibility! Mom trusted me with you, do you want her dying wish to be unfulfilled!?" I yelled. She looked away "No, and you know that. But I can't stay in this house all day. I can't be sheltered my entire life. I'm 18!" She said back. " Katie I'm sorry but I can't lose you like I lost mom. It's dangerous out there- "LILY, you're not listening, I am old enough to leave the house! I miss mom too, but she wouldn't have wanted me to never see the world!!" "OK, then do it! LEAVE!" I screamed. She stormed to her room. I sat down on the sofa. I woke up. "Oh I must've fallen asleep." I thought. " I should check on Katie." I walked to her room and knocked. Nothing. I peeked inside. My heart skipped a beat. It was empty and her window was wide open.
