Someone asks me, (and aro/ace demigirl o(≧▽≦)o) why I write romantic fanfiction. They ask me, why do you seem to love romance so much in books. This is my literal answer: "Because people often love the things they can't have."
⁂⁌Ⅽ Hello everyone! Ↄ⁍⁂ I'm an aro/ace demigirl. This means I sometimes I get teased or unexcepted. Something I find about being aro/ace is that since I'm a kid, it's hard for me to talk openly about that if my friend isn't an aro/ace person. Specifically because at my age, lots of my friends find romance disgusting. But here's the funny thing. During a free time, they'll go running around chasing lovers. I find this repulsing (not that anyone who does this is wrong) especially if they will go right back to saying. "Oh, yeah, I'm also aro/ace," without even knowing what it really means. A few months ago I read a book (surprise surprise) and it sparked a fear in me involving romance. This is one of the reasons I identify as aro/ace. BUUUUUUUTTTTTTT. I write a lot, and I mean a lot of fanfiction with romance, I read a lot, and I mean a lot, of romantic books. Someone might possibly walk over to me and ask me why, if romance "detests me" or I don't feel romantic or sexual attraction. But let's be honest... lots of people love what they can't have.
