Despite the name, this is NOT fast. This early-1980s midsize sedan was, by all, accounts, a relatively normal car. It was built to be a comfortable family car, with a few luxury features such as all-around independent suspension, high-quality sound deadening, air conditioning as standard, and even a CD player on high-trim models. It was very successful, and it was renewed for multiple generations throughout the 1990s and 2000s. However, as the late 2010s and early 2020s came around, consumer demand for sedans dropped as the market shifted to crossover SUVs, and the nameplate was discontinued in 2021.
