Notes for art* > Yucca should not be drawn smiling or overly serious, more about that here > Seph wears standard blue scrubs and is also an animal hospital oc like Yucca > Scarletmoon’s front paws have medium sized sock (markings) the same color as the moon on her forehead. Yucca Lore ═══════ https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1362029822 Scarletmoon Lore ═══════ The areas surrounding WillowClan were once brimming with life, but more recently, prey has been scarce. The clan is starving. Hunting patrols are organized frequently, rarely returning with much prey. Willowclan believes the divine have furiously cast a harsh winter upon them, applying this logic to many events that have occured on their territory: > A stag was found bloodied in the middle of a fairy circle. It had been brutally mauled to death. > Several skeletons of small animals keep appearing across the river bank in uncharted land. > Some bones have been tied to the trees. At night, when the wind blows strongest, they act as wind chimes. Whoever tied them placed them high up enough so that they can not be taken down... Notes/plot: > WillowClan does not have a StarClan. They believe in the "divine," who were the first beings who roamed WillowClan territory moons before it became a clan. Carvings of these divine creatures can be found in a crumbled stone temple on WillowClan territory > When a WillowClan cat dies, they are dragged into the temple and then buried there to be with the divine ones. > The divine ones are actually group of ancient immortal eldritch horrors. They have grown hungry. > Scarletmoon is one of the divine ones, who we'll call the Willowwalkers for now. (Temporary name?) > The Willowwalkers are connected. If one dies, the others powers lessen. > The Willowwalkers are shapeshifters. Scarletmoon shifted into a more friendly looking form to deceive the clan into thinking she is a simple rogue. The clan let her in. > Willowwalkers have a broad understanding of herbs. Seeing that Scarletmoon was very good with herbs and healing methods, the clan decided to appoint her as the new medicine cat after their old one passed away from starvation. > The suffering gets so intense the clan begs the divine to come down and be with them. (Foreshadowing) > The clan begins to die off slowly. They are buried in the temple, and to their horror, they discover the corpses of their friends have been dug up and consumed by an unknown entity. > At first, the clan believes wolves were the culprit, until unfamiliar footprints are found in the soil leading towards the riverbank. > Eventually, a patrol is organized to explore the territory across the river. Scarletmoon is oddly pushy about this and insists on leading it. > There, Scarletmoon shows them her true form and lifts her face, revealing a gaping jaw where her neck should be. The patrol tries to run, some members preparing to fight, but they are surrounded by the rest of the Willowwalkers. > The patrol realizes the Willowalkers are the divine ones whom they adore so much, right before they are brutally torn apart and eaten. > Scarletmoon and the Willowwalkers rush back to camp. There is horror in Scarletmoon's eyes, and she tells the story of how they were ambushed. The clan listens on in terror, but quickly grow confused by the new cats and feel a sense of dread. > The moon rises, glowing a bright scarlet red as the Willowwalkers shift into their eldritch forms. They massacre WillowClan. > WillowClan is with the divine, as they wished.
