I present to you..... My greatest war on RON since my Laos gameplay.... THE THIRD BALKAN WAR A genius Grand Stratagem....... Interrupted by sudden twists.... An 8 year meat grinder..... A back and fourth battle of immense suffering, heroism, and struggle for survival.... A travesty fought on land, air, and sea.... I successfully fought a 1v4(later 2v4 when Italy joined on my side) against Turkey, Montenegro, Serbia, and the Iberian Union. All with limited man power, barely functional economy, and overstretched small army. Surviving purely on my wits and Italian aid. This has certainly been one of my top favorite wars. Where my strategies saw success against enemy numbers and stats. "Operation: Flying Rhodes" This is a test run for it. Basically a plan to kill Turkey early on as Greece, where I defend in Greece, wait for their army to be bogged down, then use the Aegean islands to hold a 2nd army to rush into Turkey. Just like Napoleon at Austerlitz, using a false weak portion of his army to lure the allies off the heights, followed by an attack on said heights. The plan saw.... Limited success. It worked in destabilizing and throwing the Turks off guard, but I did't have enough reserves to exploit the breakthrough in time. Then Serbia joined the war, and everything went to flames..... Literally.... I definitely should have played on PC, not my laptop. The shear lag meant I could barely micromanage, or set up a stable economy and man power pool. Which makes this all the more impressive NGL. But the mistakes of this run are noted. Plus, I'm not playing to win. I'm playing for the fight, and what a glorious fight it was! Just like in NRP, I don't care if I lose as long as I lose in an earned way.
