Lodestonekit’s Family Dynamics Meadowhawkmoon - Parent - MossClan Medic Lodestonekit absolutely adores his father, feeling that they can do nothing wrong. They’ll always admire them throughout their whole life, although it becomes far more masked as they grow older and the term “embarrassment” grows more familiar. They’d be the first one Oddity hops to for advice, and he thoroughly enjoys working with the herbs that Meadowhawkmoon teaches them and their siblings about. He confides in his father and trusts him a little more than his mother, though of course he’d never admit it. Glasswinglaurel - Parent - MossClan Warrior Despite Lo’s hidden preference towards their father, Meadowhawkmoon, Glasswinglaurel still receives Odd’s unfaltering loyalty. They know that their mother will be there throughout all the troubles of his life, and finds it comforting to know he’s always got a shoulder to lean on - although he hides this very well. At the beginning, Ode despises the involvement and constant micromanagement of their mother, but as they grow older, they truly appreciate everything Glasswing has done for them, and the many ways that she has helped him grow. Pyritekit - Sibling - @Cloud_Song’s version Oddity doesn’t show it, but he thoroughly enjoys the presence of his brother. Who doesn’t enjoy a little competition? After all, it’s the very thing that keeps him going. They can somewhat see through their brother’s mask — they’ve been there from the very beginning of his life, one of the cats that would know him best, and Lo’s typically observant nature keeps him paranoid and second-guessing others’ “true” sides. He’ll treat Pyritekit as a rival, though in a brotherly way, and will likely exchange snarky comments and get into small arguments, but deep down, they’d protect him at all costs. Pyritekit - Sibling - @DessertsFairy’s version While slightly disturbed by Pyritekit’s somewhat strange antics towards learning about the world around him, Oddity understands that every cat has their hobbies, and respects them as such. He certainly won’t be very sentimental towards him, barely opening up at all to his brother. At times, there may be a crack in his facade of absolute control, but to him, Pyrite is simply another cat he happens to be related to, and simply not worthy of his attention most of the time. The few times he might exchange small talk would be during patrols or spars, but otherwise the two would be quite distant. Wishbonekit - Sibling - @realdo-nothingday’s version Though he can’t quite understand why himself, Lodestonekit sees themself in Wishbone. Sometimes it’s simply easier to follow orders and do as you’re told - practically a tool for others, mindlessly walking along, never thinking about where you’re going, or why. But in a way, Lo despises her too, wishing that he could break this “habit” of his. They’d much rather voice their opinion, but, however many times they may deny it, they’re terrified of what others would think, and they’d rather hide behind a fake smile than expose the true Lodestone. He wishes that others would prove to him that it’s better to be yourself, but Wishbone does the opposite, oftentimes mirroring their own behaviour even. And so Lo convinces himself it’s alright, while fighting against it, hating and loving his sister at the same time. Oddity will enjoy the company of Wishbonekit, feeling that she is someone he’d be able to confide in, though he likely never will, preferring to keep both his opinions and his feelings to himself. If you can’t fix your own problems, why burden others with them? After all, they’ve done nothing against you, and shouldn’t spend their waking hours dwelling on hurdles you’ve simply created for yourself. And so the relationship between the two is far more like a friendship than one that the average siblings would share. Wishbone is a liability and a companion at the same time; truly two sides of a coin. Wishbonekit - Sibling - ‘s version Lo has a heavy dislike of their sister’s sentimental nature, and would not appreciate if anyone, even a family member, decided to spill or rant to them, unless with purpose — like if they’d want help in getting revenge. Their bond with Wishbone isn’t the strongest, and he tells himself that it’s alright - Wishbone has Pyrite (’s version), and Wishbone needs Pyrite. She doesn’t need him, and neither does he need her. But unfortunately, as they remind themself constantly, family is family, so apparently Wishbone deserves some credit over other cats. As a kit, this is far more obvious — he can be seen leaving small gifts in her nest, for example, but it slowly fades as they grow more independent and realises that family isn’t everything. Oddity will see Wishbone as a nuisance at times, but otherwise just another cat he’s related to.
Kismetkit - Sibling - @puffiibunnx’s version At first, Lo finds Kismet’s “adorable” nature, well, adorable. Laughing and playing along with their games became a hobby, and they spent a lot of time around Kiki - but soon it got annoying, as most things do. But as Kismet grows further, Odd realises what a valuable companion she would be - with razor sharp observance that rivals his own, and a mind able to fathom ideas and concepts others might not, Lo begins attempting to win her favour - she’d be a formidable opponent in the future, if it were to come to that. He doesn’t mind how stubborn and blunt she is - in fact, he likes her brutal honesty. If everything was sugarcoated, he’d never know how to improve, and when she’s stubborn with her answer, it makes him rethink his too - after all, a little more thinking can’t hurt. He questions her impulsivity and rash decisions when desperate, but decides she’ll learn for herself, if not by consequence then by some other cat - perhaps someone who can phrase advice properly, and make it sound coherent, unlike Lo’s frantic jumble of words. Kismetkit - Sibling - @cherubiim’s version Lo envies Kismetkit’s seemingly easy self-confidence, and wishes he could be like her. But he truly despises her smiles and devotion to the crowd, being who they want to see, mirroring their expectations. She’s exactly what they’re not, and he hates her and loves her for it. Oddity - even as the nickname suggests - is not a crowd-pleaser, forging his own way through life but still bowing to others. He’d follow orders, and never voice his opinion if it’s against the general belief, but it makes him sick to the stomach that he acts like this. Though he loathes the way she eats up the attention — whether he wishes for it himself or because he believes it’s horrible, they don’t know themself. This Kismet is somewhat of a role-model and yet an enemy to Lodestonekit.
