NO TALKING SCRIPT THIS TIME I'VE GENUINELY HAD ZERO TIME TO WORK ON THIS UNTIL NOW obv this is a bit of a nothingburger entry so here's a bit of backstory lol: Backstory [or at least bits and pieces of it] =========================================== Lantern was born on 29 October, XXXX [depends on when this takes place, if it takes place in present day, then the year would be 2002]. [REDACTED], so they only had their sister, Waxie, who was twelve years older than them. Waxie was all they had at that point. No one was willing to befriend them at the time, seeing them as "weird" because they often hid away when [REDACTED] because they didn't want the same thing to happen to anyone else. About 10 years later, and only a few years after they finally accepted [REDACTED], [REDACTED]. Waxie, the one person who cared about them, was now gone as well. Lantern was all alone. They sheltered themself from the rest of society for a bit, only leaving their house for the essentials. About 3 years before WIZARD101, Lantern finally started living again, but with a new goal in mind: make sure everyone has a way to process grief, and make sure no one who needs someone is alone. That takes us to the present day, Lantern is competing in the ninth episode of WIZARD101, having made friends, but still hasn't processed Waxie's death well. [After this episode, Lantern starts to act a bit different, apologizing for stuff that happens just because they happened to be there, being slightly more emotional each episode, etc. They still act generally the same for right now, but slowly start to act a bit differently. The best thing Lantern's friends or other contestants can do is just be there for them when they need it.] [Referring to my previous submission - it's not Nintendo's fault that Lantern starts acting like this, in-universe reason for Lantern's previous XQZs is probably cuz they needed to take time off to grieve cuz they are still grieving]
