hey everyone! lets appreciate the tn, i locked in ngl...its so PEAK anyways i havent been doing much on here bcs i LEFT but obviously i wanted to hop onto this trend heh.. these opinions arent hot takes, theyre js my opinions, im not gonna label them as "hot" "cold" or "lukewarm" bcs they are a temperature of a take depending on ygs opinions so ^__^ also these are really random, it covers kpop, katseye, western artists, anime, so yeah.. 1. KATSEYE WAS and IS being promoted for kids.they got CHILDREN hooked onto them with S.I.S and built a fanbase of CHILDREN. once yoonchae turned eighteen, they shifted to a mature concept. the fanbase is still CHILDREN, mind you. instead of waiting for their fanbase to grow, they didn't care and immediately hopped to a mature, bold concept. THE FANBASE HASN'T HAD TIME TO AGE ‼️ ya'll just be saying "katseye aint meant for you kid, hop off" and act like its the children's and parents' faults for katseye having a young fanbase. 2. blue lock was NOT written well. i LOVE blue lock sm, but the writing is actively falling off. ever since the U20 game, isagi suddenly became a "soccer god" and now the entire universe revolves around him. amazing characters have lost all autonomy and sideline their own goals just to serve isagi. also, soccer requires insane physical stats, PERIOD. coming from a track runner, isagi's average stats beating ppl like rin and shidou makes zero sense. i'm the smartest one on my track team too, but that doesn't automatically make me the fastest. i'm NOT. 3. L vs Light Yagami the whole debate is... not even a debate. if you're team light, it says a LOT about you ngl. he literally murdered so many innocent ppl and was tryna destroy L just for being a detective. his mental issues became really visible ever since he killed lind l. tailor, which happened during the SECOND EPISODE btw. everyone genuinely hates female characters for just existing (like Misa), while people completely baby a monster like light yagami. 4. height differences in media? we don't need two-foot height gaps. tell me why i'm seeing a 4'10 girl and a 6'6 guy? be more realistic. it's weird when you make the girl look like a child and the guy look like a giant. especially in JAPAN, where 4'10 is somewhat reasonable for girls, but where the hell are we getting 6'6 men from... japanese men are rarely that tall. if you're going to make the girl short, at least make the guy reasonably sized (like 5'5-5'10). 5. unrealistic standards for boys/men in general. yes, girls do suffer because of beauty standards, but so do guys. everyone wants guys to pay for their partner's EVERYTHING, from meals to makeup, hair, and nails. i believe in splitting the bill and providing for yourself—i value independence. the concept of "relying on my man even when i can rely on myself" puts WAY TOO MUCH pressure on the man. also, if it's okay for women to be housewives, why can't men be househusbands? there's nothing wrong with it. media also shoves down a toxic "be mean and nonchalant" trope, and lastly, wdym 5'6 for a man is short now? justice for REASONABLY SIZED MEN. if you want him to treat you like a princess treat him like a prince ig ^__^ 6. what even is jjk nowadays maybe i'm just too dumb to understand but i don't understand the culling games. ive tried my very hardest but i JUST CAN'T WATCH JJK ANYMORE <//3 i'm being so real i have no idea what's going on in that show anymore...don't even get me started on the FANDOM omg the shipping between characters and the SIMPING is on a whole other level. istg some people forget that itadori and fushiguro are MINORS. i'll leave it at that. i started watching jjk and i knew it was gonna be dark but now everything is just so confusing and traumatizing, and there's new characters every 0.5789 seconds and people call me a larper for not knowing every single detail.. 7. everyone is desperate for gayness/lesbians in media. BEFORE YOU COME AT ME, I AM A PANROMANTIC ASEXUAL PERSON! i am lgbtq+, i am not even an ally, i AM a non-straight person. but tell me why we cant even have same-gender friendships anymore without people completely shipping them to a WEIRD EXTENT (like gojo & geto, and the ENTIRETY OF BLUE LOCK). while i do understand that the blue lock characters act REALLY gay, a lot of anime fans and media consumers in GENERAL are so desperate for gl (yuri) and bl (cant say the word on here >__<) that they make absolutely unrelated shows like that. are you all that starved for gay/les content? bcs i can find a lot to recommend to you... this goes both ways as well. why can't platonic (even opposite gender) friendships also exist without people constantly shipping them? everyone needs to stop forcing narratives where they don't even make sense. all the itafushi shipping and stuff makes me really uncomfortable.
(cont.) i feel like everyone exaggerates queerness in general, to the point where it's almost performative. people are just shipping for the sake of shipping and to seem like they're an lgbtq+ ally. i'm not trying to look unique or anything, but being lgbtq+ is not as common as you all think, especially in asia. there's absolutely nothing wrong with being straight, gay, lesbian, trans, non-binary, aroace, queer, bisexual, etc. BE YOURSELF. just bcs you're straight and cisgender does not make you homophobic. 8. periods should NOT need a trigger warning. periods are literal biology, everyone. basically every girl goes through it. i don't even need to say much, if the concept of periods make you uncomfortable YOU'RE the one who needs help. understandable if blood is what triggers you, that's okay, but if someone mentions the word PERIOD you shouldn't start raging. okay guys thats all i have....UHM NONE OF THESE ARE SPOP BUT THATS OKAY...anyways gbye ✌️
