- - - [ DISCLAIMER: Mentions of death and loneliness. Do not read if you are susceptible to these subjects. ] - - - Annuletfire hadn't felt this happy in moons. As she walked a new path with her sister. They hadn't joked like this since they were apprentices. And they certainly hadn't spent time like this together in a long while. Right when Let was starting to reach the absolute peak of her loneliness, of course Flamethunder was there for her. Always. To save her from the dark depths. For once, things felt bright again. Until they broke right down. Like they always did. A dark shape flashed by, and Ann only saw it out of the corner of her eye. Of course, that was enough to make it widen in fear and shove her sister to the ground. "GET DOWN," Annulet screamed as a massive black wolf pounced at both of them. How was this even possible?? A wolf on MossClan territory. And in broad daylight, no less?? The wolf pinned her to the ground and she raked her claws across its snout. It raised its other paw for a final blow, and immediately reared back as if it was trying to shake something off its back. Annuletfire scrambled away, stood up and continued clawing at the wolf's face, it stopped trying to shake Flame off, and swiped his claw at Let, leaving a huge gash in her side. She stumbled back in pain, right as the wolf managed to shake her sister off. Flamethunder went flying and hit a tree, then falling to the ground. She didn't move. Ann was so distracted by her sister, that she didn't notice the wolf take a second lunge at her. It was so fast. One second she and Flame were talking and laughing together, and the next they were both lying on the ground as a wolf retreated back to the border of MossClan territory. Annulet felt her breathing slow alongside Flame's. And immediately realized that this was how her life was going to end. And for some reason. She was relieved. Not that she didn't /want/ to live, of course. But because what better way to die, than to have no regrets? To know that after so long, she really wasn't a long? Let really was going to die, but at least she didn't have to die alone. And at least it could happen to her alongside the one cat she loved. Of course, it was selfish to be glad her sister was dying with her, but if it was happening, wasn't that how it was always supposed to be? Now wasn't the time to be worrying about whether she was being selfish, or whether she had any regrets in life. Now was just being happy for dying the way that she was. The strange thing about death was how peaceful it was. Saying goodbye to life seemed so much easier when she was at peace for everything that happened. Ann's vision blurred. The green trees blended with the blue sky and the white clouds. And everything was fading, fading, fading to black. And her mind was slipping, slipping, slipping into oblivion. Until it all ended and the last breath left her body. Maybe she'd never lived as long as she'd hoped, or done much with her life. But she had been a MossClan revival warrior. She had seen these cats grow from a mess of kits to an independent Clan of strong warriors. And she had died having made peace with everything that had happened in her life. And even in death she would still have the cat who mattered the very most to her. And that was enough for Annuletfire. - - - RPer Notes : So, 's and my characters happened to die at the same time, and we decided to sorta make the same story for each of their deaths. Even if we weren't really able to go too far with any sort of story, in the end we decided that the meaning of their lives was to simply be loyal to each other as sisters and to stay by the others side until the very end. My favorite part about Annulet was her love for Flame, and I think that that was her greatest passion. Her greatest attribute. And even in death, the sisters can still be together in StarClan, and I personally love that that is how their stories come to an end. - - - [ Flamethunder's Perspective : (unposted) ] Final Stats : Annuletfire | | 10/0 | 0 | 20 I also won't be sending out notifications for this death SRP since I'm too lazy for that part this time. :P - - -
