shortly after posting this project i ended up going to sleep. but before doing so i responded to my friends messages so (most) of them didn't have to wait like. 12 hours. for a reply ! and i see a text from one of my close friends, a reply from something i've said earlier. a little backstory on our friendship: started first semester of my sophomore year of hs, met through a friend and didn't think much of it. later we started to see eachother a LOT, like in the hallways, in teachers' rooms, extra curriculars... all of it. so we had a little running joke, claiming that the other was stalking us. second semester we were in the same class so obviously the joke went to a new level, and we also ended up getting closer. the mutual friend was also in the class and the 3 of us talked a LOT, and soon it was just the two of us talking, hanging out, sharing music (key to my soul btw), and finding ways to fit eachother into our packed schedules. but WAIT this sounds a lot like a love story ! and that's what anyone would think, except the reason we bonded was by talking about the people that we liked. so we are. very very platonic. ok? ok. moving on ever since the start of summer, he's been acting a little odd, keeping me out of the loop on things that he ALWAYS tells me about, getting antsy on the topic of crushes, and being a biit more flirty than usual. so i panic <3 and im not at the disco. but we're still friends and we still talk about our crushes, and that's exactly what we started doing yesterday ! he was talking about his type and his crush and even though hes a whole entire senior in hs, he censored a curse word, to which i was like "omg you're so endearing" CAUSE LIEK AWW IS THAT NOT ADORABLE and after that we started talking about our 2 exes. i ended up making fun of him for not being man enough to ask the girl he likes out (we'll call her vanilla). so obviously within this little banter, i was like "ywk what would solve this predicament" and the second i sent "asking vanilla out!" he replied with "becoming a girl" from there we went onto the topic of barbie, then disney movies, and then kids. given the fact that he initiated this topic, i said it depends on the life partner.. to which he replied in all caps, my ex. i then, reasonably replied, "i will beat you to a pulp" :blush: TO WHICH HE REPLIED "what if i like that" bro how am i supposed to deal with this kid. but the night continued on like this, talking about topics that "just friends" dont talk about, while simultaneously bringing up our respective crushes WITHIN these topics, while simultaneously flirting?? and im genuinely just so lost atp :pensive:
