What makes this clan unique? _________________ Duskclan is known for being very nocturnal, almost never awakening during the day. They rely on Moonglow, an energy produced by the moon, to use their gifts. Gifts are magical abilities passed down by Duskclan cats, and have many effects based on the moons phase. At birth, the clan leader will reveal their gift depending on the shape of the moon. The power of the gift can differ from cat to cat, but the closer to a cats phase, the more powerful they are. For example, a cat born during a full moon will be least powerful during a new moon. The only acception to this is eclipse cats, who are most powerful on both new and full moons. Duskclan follows Lucine, the god of the moon. She grants Duskclan the powers they now know as gifts. The leader is only able to meet with Lucine during lunar eclipses, in which they will find the highest point they can and stare into the eclipse. Since they are leader, instead of damaging their eyes it allows them to speak to Lucine for 3 minutes. After the time is up they must wait until the next eclipse to speak. She can access the clan cat’s dreams on rare occasions (when it is VERY important). When you receive your cat, you will be gifted one of these powers. If you ever have questions on the limits of a power or what exactly you can do, please ask! _________________ Gifts _________________ New Moon - Shadow pelt. The ability to blend into shadows (makes the cat “invisible” during darkness, though they still create sound and affect the world around them) Waxing Crescent - Silent step. The ability to completely silence themselves (though, when in effect, they cannot speak) First Quarter - Sacred eye. The ability to see incredibly precise movements, even from meters away. Waxing Gibbous - Glistening gleam. The ability to create light (can create orbs or sparks of light, but they do not emit any heat) Full Moon - Great strength. The ability to focus all their strength into precise movements (though, this power drains much quicker than the others and can only be used for a few seconds every day) Waning Gibbous - Grand sight. The ability to outline other animals using senses (creates a light “aura” around other animals, each animal having their own unique color) Third Quarter - Dream walking. The ability to enter and interact with other cats in their dreams (similar to Starclan but used by a living cat) Waining Crescent - Tide call. The ability to create localized waves, pushing and pulling water (can be used on puddles to oceans, though waves are no bigger than a large cat) Eclipse - Shadow molding. The ability to create illusions out of shadows (these shadows cannot effect anything else physically, and the size of the shape depends on how much shadow is available) _________________ Physical Traits _________________ Duskclan cats are very small and sleek, built for agility and stealth. Since they are nocturnal they have great night-vision. They usually have shorter fur, but can have more fur on their cheeks, neck, paws, and tail. Pelt colors: - Black - Grey - Dark browns - Yellow - Orange Eye color: - Grey - Green - Yellow - White Height: 6-11 inches tall (at fully grown)
