Here’s Shade’s backstory As a child, Shade was just a cat who loved the dark, he felt a strange sense of comfort there… even through being beaten by his parents… even through bullying for his eyes (only one eye has an iris and a pupil)… this comfort of darkness was there since he was 2 years old… As a teenager, 13 years old… he found out he had some sort of spiritual connection with some kind of overworld… one filled with darkness and spirits… he kept it to himself and told nobody… but when his father found out… his tail was torn off… and then after he was considered a bobcat… When he was around 22 years old, he was crowned king of the shadows and spirits…and gained spiritual wings… soon he had found Angel, the girl that would become the love of his life and the queen of the light, shaking and sobbing in an alleyway (something bad happened to her, which I will explain in her backstory when I make her ref sheet)… and he took her and cared for her until she got better… and that’s when she confessed her feelings… Now Shade is 31 years old and engaged to Angel (who is 29 years old)… and they rule light and dark together… all the while doing the things they’d normally do…
