Chapter 4: Dark Beast Link's PoV: The weekend was my favorite time of the, well, week. No school, no homework, and then there were the good things, like hanging out with Zelda and going to church. It was Saturday already, 5 days from when Zelda wanted to tell me SOMETHING. On Saturdays I'd usually go to her house and play Super Smash Bros. I woke up and raced out of bed as quickly as possible. I ran over to Zelda's house, only to see her cornered by a dog outside. I recognized the dog; It was Ganondorf's dog. Me and Zelda nicknamed him "The Dark Beast" partially because we didn't know his name, partially because we liked naming things after the legends of Hyrule. The Dark beast growled at her, bearing teeth. The Dark Beast was known for being aggressive towards everyone. The animal shelter wouldn't even take him because they were too scared of him. I grabbed the biggest stick I could find and raced in front of Zelda. I didn't want to hurt Ganondorf's dog, even though he doesn't exactly feel the same way, but I would if he tried to hurt Zelda. He lunged at her, barking. Zelda screamed as I whacked him with the stick. He ignored it and bit Zelda's leg. I growled in anger and swung wide at the dog. He bit the stick, making the attack useless. I got an idea. I tugged the stick against his teeth, which created sparks. The dog fell back, whimpering, but he got back on his feet quickly. As for the stick, it was now on fire. "Be careful with that, Link!" Zelda said, backing behind me. The dog backed away, and ran out of our yard. "You okay?" I asked, looking at her bleeding leg with concern. "I-I think." She said. "My Mom's a nurse, so she might have some gauze or something for that." I said, as I walked her over to my house. "Let's see what we can do."
