Chapter 9: Problems Zelda's PoV: Warning: This chapter has been rated [T] for mild language and ketchup. We were still in Link's backyard when a thought occurred to me. Why wasn't dad at the hospital before he took me? And how did he know exactly what happened when he didn't even show up? It felt best to go straight to the source. "I'll be back." I told Link. I ran to my house and entered through the living room. I heard fighting from the kitchen, and then a deep yelp of pain. I crept in, to see my Dad on the floor, nearly unconscious. There was a silhouette of a man I couldn't make out, but he was holding a knife, aiming it at my dad. "Roham, Roham." He chuckled. "You're getting too old for this." My dad grunted. "Damn you, Ghirahim!" He muttered. I recognized that name. Ghirahim Dragmire was Ganondorf's older brother, and a notorious criminal. But what did he want with us? Ghirahim noticed me. "So first you try to take me on, then your pathetic daughter tries to avenge you?!!?" He taunted. "Well, Zelda, I hope you burn in hell with your father!" He lunged at me with his knife, stabbing it into my stomach. I screamed in anger and pain, but stood my ground. I scrambled into the kitchen and grabbed the largest knife I could find. I swung wide at him, barely grazing his arm as he dodged my attack. "What do you even want from us?!?" I screamed as I dodged a few cheap shots. He grabbed me by the shirt collar and said, "Your mother wasn't killed by a car accident, I killed her!" I stabbed him in the arm, forcing him to loosen his grip on me. "What do you mean?!" I asked. "Your father and I have a long history! You weren't alive for it, but he's the reason I was in prison! I wasn't gonna just let him get away with that after I escaped! So I killed your Mother, drugged her before she died, then made up the lie and told your father if he told anyone the truth, I'd murder you!" "So did he tell someone?!?" I asked. Ghirahim rolled his eyes. "Well I couldn't just TRUST he'd be silent!" He said, stabbing me in the stomach again. I fell to the ground in pain, coughing up blood. "That was too easy." He chuckled, smirking. Then, I blacked out.
