Hello, and welcome to my SDAS application to become a mentor! Contact username: @larksonq, my main Digital art experience: I have a good chunk of experience in digital art, drawing serious traditional art with my art teacher, and I got introduced to Procreate probably 3-5 years ago. I use Procreate as my digital art platform, and I am currently working a job illustrating for a book using digital art. Formally/informally taught experience: For several years, I have taken online classes every week (2 hours each session) with a French artist mostly focused on traditional art, but through those lessons I have learned color theory, structure of the body, realism, and many different techniques. Art subject(s) experience: I have done landscapes several times, and these are by far my favorite, as well as drawing ferals, which I draw very often and I think that my skill has improved over time. I don't really feel comfortable with drawing humans or anthros, though. Art style experiences: As mentioned before, in training with my French art teacher, I have done many works with realism, but I enjoy more 'cartoon'-like drawings. Art program(s) experience: I believe that I have already mentioned this in the art experience, about being under the mentoring of a French artist. How many mentees I would like to take: Time-sensitive, I'm willing to take about 1-2, because I have a lot of other things to do on scratch and I refuse to overestimate myself and have too many, and then I would lose motivation and my advice wouldn't be the best. Activity frequency: I'm on Scratch every single day, for at least one hour every time. I would say I'm very active, and I would of course notify you if I'm going on hiatus. Any prior leadership experience: In real life, I've lead a couple of clubs, and I've been a tutor several times so I know how to teach and give feedback and constructive criticism without seeming rude or mean. On scratch, I've also had several leadership roles, my resume being here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1368843794/ Backup mentor: Of course! I'm willing to help out any way I can. Has read the basic training: Yes, I have. Art examples: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/51913566/ Thank you for reading my application and I hope you have a great day! ^^
