Meaning his life has been almost nothing but lessons, nobles and balls. That and of course ensuring that nothing happens to his little siblings or the kingdom while his mother is off on her "hunts? explorations?" (Uhhh we'll figure it out later.) Aspen was 5 years old when he was brought into the palace with his siblings. He loves his mothers deeply. There should be no reason for him to be closeted, but it's not them he fears. He fears being a burden and causing any sort of issue at all that would complicate his family. He sees no issue with not bringing it up unless he falls in love with a man.
