This song fills me with so much emotion I love it so much They Will Bury Me A Woman by rainyholmes
Lyrics: Doesn't matter how my moments were defined Doesn’t matter how I fought to stay alive Doesn't matter what I had to sacrifice If it was hard to see for you And all my dreams, and all my fears And all my friends, and all my tears And all the years I spent sincere You'll read the eulogy And you’ll tell them just how effortless I lived then And you'll fill in all the gaps where you were missing And you'll mourn me in your story Just like you mourned me to my face And then you'll tеll them that I miss you And you won't even say my namе When I die, they will bury me a woman While I lie still and restless Breaking silent in my casket Let me rest inside your peace, in your memory Perfectly positioned how you wanted me 'Cause once you bury me They will ignore all I was 'Cause they never listened They will betray every wish 'Cause I couldn’t say them When they search my clothes for outfits They’ll just go buy a dress instead Because there's no time left to meet me They’ll mourn the person in their head When I die, they will bury me a woman While I cry, mad and helpless Wishing miracles would listen No one needs to know what you'll leave below Who will I end up? Will I ever know? 'Cause once you bury me, you can forget me When I die, they will bury me a woman While I lie still and restless Breaking silent in my casket Let me rest inside your peace, in your memory Perfectly positioned how you wanted me 'Cause once you bury me, I’ll be complete Eternally a resting stranger I'll die a vague recollection I'll die awkward conversation I'll die what you can't remember I'll die as a resting stranger I'll die, all my things in trash bags I'll die with an urn of dyed ash I'll die, hundred unfinished plans I'll die anything but a man I'll lie where the council say so I'll lie several miles from home I'll lie under dirt overgrown I'll lie with a name I don't know I'll sit beside a corpse I've never seen before And I'll mourn how I'm dead inside your dreams And I'll be dead to all I was
