Name: Hunter He-him Gay HEHEHEH LORE TIMEEEE >:3 Oki so Hunter is this dragon-like floofy Dark Angel that was created by the gods to keep the universe in balance. :3 Basically, gods are immortal, but being immortal doesn’t always mean you’re gonna be mentally okay forever. Sometimes a god can become Corrupted, which is basically when they go insane from stuff like grief, being overwhelmed by their own power, or just the sheer weight of living for WAY too bloody long. One of the biggest reasons is loving mortals over and over again, only to have them grow old and die while the god has to keep living. When a god becomes Corrupted, the other gods send Hunter after them. Hunter is a celestial being created by the gods. He is the greatest hunter and tracker in the entire universe, and he’s the ONLY being who can actually “kill” a god. But he isn’t cruel about it. He doesn’t torture them or hate them or anything like that. He’s actually really merciful, because he knows that the god is suffering and that they’ve basically lost themselves. When Hunter “kills” a Corrupted god, they don’t actually cease to exist. Instead, they get reincarnated as a completely normal Mobian with no memories whatsoever of being a god. They live their life as a mortal person, and sometimes they need one lifetime, sometimes they need bloody heaps of lifetimes, depending on how badly they were Corrupted. Eventually, they die and reincarnate again, and once they’ve healed enough, they finally rejoin the gods. When they return, most of their old memories come back, but they’re much gentler. They still remember who they were and the people they loved and everything they went through, but it doesn’t hurt or overwhelm them in the same way anymore. It’s kinda like they can finally remember their past without being consumed by it. So Hunter doesn’t really destroy Corrupted gods. He basically gives them a chance ta start over until they’re ready to be themselves again. OH, and when a god becomes Corrupted, their ichor turns black. So black ichor is basically one of the big physical signs of Corruption. Hunter’s blood is completely different, though. His blood is shiny, sparkly, glowing red because he’s a Dark Angel created specifically for this purpose. And when Hunter isn’t needed for hunting and releasing Corrupted gods, he goes back into the stars to rest. He becomes the Mobian constellation called Tracker. So basically, Hunter spends his time going: “Righto, which bloody god has gone off the rails this time?” goes hunting “Gotcha.” mercifully releases them “Alright, I’m off to bed.” turns into constellation And somewhere down on Mobius, some completely oblivious Mobian is just looking up at the night sky like: “Aw, Tracker’s pretty tonight.” Meanwhile Tracker is literally an ancient celestial being taking a nap after hunting a god.
EXTRA LOREEEE: his mate ends up turning Corrupt, and Hunter’s sent to release him, but it’s heartbreaking for him, and he nearly goes Corrupt himself. Hehe >:3 His mate’s name is Pavor, the god of phobias. They first met when they were younger. When he was young, Pavor was quite the menace. So naturally, he tried to prank the new guy. See, the gods had just created Hunter, but he was already mature, unlike Pavor, who was still immature and chaotic. So he dropped spiders on Hunter. Buuuut, unfortunately for Pavor, Hunter is literally the ultimate warrior. So he dodged easily and just gave Pavor an annoyed look. Ever after that, it’s been Pavor’s goal to try and scare him. None have worked though. But they grew to like each other.
