|| Chapter 4, ??? || The table I wake up on is cold on my bare back that aches from what I assume to be however long I was laying down. My eyelids are heavy as I open them, and every part of my body feels.. weird. There’s nobody around to help me up, though I’m not sure why there would be, and I take it upon myself to push myself up and off of the table with wobbly arms. I realize that there’s a full length mirror beside me when I come to my feet, so I take the time to look at myself. My face is split in half, with one side being a pale purplish-blue and the other being the same just much, much darker. Something in my mind tells me it should be solid blue, but I quickly dismiss the thought before it can go any further. Maybe blue would look better? Or maybe I just have an internalized hatred for anything remotely purple, I don’t really know. I let my gaze drift further down, where it settles on my torso. My body feels cold and bare, like there should be something there, and I make a mental note to try and find a blanket or something. My arms look normal, no weird thoughts about them, but when I look further down, I see… nothing. Well, obviously there’s going to be nothing, what else was I expecting? Another pair of arms? …Something tells me that’s exactly what I was expecting. I’m probably just imagining things. After all, who has four arms? That’s right, NOBODY. I physically shake my head to stop the thought from spreading and decide to explore the room, in which I find to be nearly completely empty. There is a door, though, so I quickly open it and step through to the next room that appears to be a workshop. It feels familiar to me, but the feeling is nothing new. Perhaps there’s something wrong with me. These thoughts feel abnormal, strange… I spot another door and make my way toward it, stepping over the papers and empty glass tubes littering the cluttered floor and stopping at the doorway. My hand hovers over the doorknob as I strain my ears to listen. Do I.. hear someone? It sounds like approaching footsteps, though I can’t be 100% sure. Some part of my body is telling me to move, and I’m about to listen before the doorknob quickly turns and what I assume to be the source of the footsteps nearly bumps into me. “Oh! Hi, sorry, I didn’t realize you were awake! Sorry for not being there, I wasn’t aware that you’d wake up so soon.” He says quickly, but I’m more focused on him rather than what he’s saying. He’s holding a bunch of the glass tubes I saw on the floor behind me, but these ones are instead filled with a sort of black liquid. I practically tower over him, and I’m unsure if that means I’m abnormally tall or that I’m /slightly/ tall and he’s just short. “Saturn..? You there?” He tilts his head, a look of worry on his face. I nod, quiet as I process what I assume to be my name. “What’s /your/ name?” I ask, my voice coming out raspy. It’s the first time I’ve heard my voice, and I wonder if its raspiness is from me not talking for a while or if it's how it always is. I really hope it’s the first. “Oh, my apologies. Must’ve slipped my mind. I’m Dandy.” -----------------------------------------------------------------
