Hello there! My name is Thorn, Bugg or Twig, and I have been a Christian Therian for just over 2 years now. Christianity and Therianthropy are often two things that are seen as contradictory, but through this series I am starting, I am going to explain not only how that is untrue, but also how Christian Therians can remain in their relationship with God. I have also made another previous Christian Therian series, which you can find here: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/50602028 if you are interested. This series is called Christian meets Therian, discussing briefly how Christianity and Therianthropy can overlap. Here, we will be going much more in depth on certain topics, and they do not always have to relate strictly to Christianity or Therianthropy--we can explore other things too, and I hope to take requests on things to talk about. For the first episode, I want to speak briefly on Temptation. When joining new communities, they will often have a darker side. This is the same with the Therian *and* Christian communities. Parts of these communities will be darker, or will handle subjects that do not align with Christian beliefs. Even though it may be tempting to join in, we must resist temptation. It is the devil whispering in our ear, and while Therianthropy and Christianity can overlap, joining the Therian community (as with joining any community, this is not pointed at just Therians) can open gateways to sin and temptation to participate in said sin. When joining any community, one must be weary and suited up with the armor of God, in case any temptation comes along. Personally, as I have began to explore my craft, I have begun to find myself drawn to Paganism. However, I know I believe in The Holy Lord as the one true God, and my drawing to this is simply the aesthetic. I have had to put on the Armor of God daily, and say my prayer, and slowly the Lord has helped me deflect satan's temptations. Just remember, the Lord is good, and if you need help, ask him. He hears every prayer, even if it doesn't feel like it--you just need to remember something, he will not supply a prayer unless it is his will. Today for church we had a sermon on prayer, and we learned that asking God for blessings and things may not be answered, because they are not his will. That is why the Lord's prayer is such a great example of a really good prayer: firstly, it recodnizes God and his holy name (Our father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name) but then it also asks for *his* will to be done, not ours. For him to do what he knows is good, rather than do what we think is right for ourselves (your kingdom come, your will be done). If you are ever stuck on prayer or feel like the Lord isn't answering, consider what you are asking him. That is it for today's episode of Therians in God! God bless everyone, and have a lovely day/night.
