(In the story it's an apocalypse. Just sayin'). I grabbed my gun and some ammo before I went out hunting. Maybe find someone that actually WANTS to be my ally or teammate. I only give people one chance to accept my offer. I don't know why, I just do. For some reason after they reject it, a creature comes up. I usually kill the creature. Then the person changes there mind and accepts since they had seen my strength. It's the same thing every time.... I snap out of my thought and run out of a cave I use for shelter. "The grass is still dry.." I mutter as if it would change. I look around every few steps. I manage to kill a few animals, not a lot though. There's enough food for a few nights. After searching for a little more I decide to retreat back to the cave. when i turn around I notice a pointed rock with an opening to a hole. I walk over there in curiosity. Curiosity killed the cat, I remind myself in my head. But I'm not a cat, so why should I even worry? When I enter the cave I see a shape. It looked at me. "Whose there?!" They shouted. Another person! "My name is Jane Holbrook," I answered "who are you?" "I'm Charlie York.." I nodded. He looked a bit younger than me. They also looked desperate enough to need a teammate. "Would you like to have a teammate?" I asked without hesitating. He shook his head. Really?! I didn't expect that, I thought. "Oh, I see." I said. "Well i'll go now." As I turned to leave an infected eagle came in. Before it could attack one of us. I shot it a few times then it fell to the ground. Charlie stared in shock as I walked away. "W-w-wait! I'll be your teammate!!" He shouted. I ignored him as i walked off. He kept shouting at me. Honestly, I felt a little bad for him. I felt bad for everyone I left behind. I should probably stop giving people one chance. It would be better......right?
