This trailer was a 4-month effort. It was rather hard coming up with just the idea for the series, and just writing the script for ep1 took around two months. I wrote the script for the trailer after writing the script for ep1. The animating was even harder... because I had never animated long projects before. But, slowly progressing, I did it. I'd like to thank @Novakitty, @bubble103, @MysteryTopHat and countless others for their support. Without them, my series would literally have died. They gave tips on the script, encouragement when I was feeling hopeless, and many other things that really kept me going. If you haven't already, just drop a follow on their profiles :D ----- Aʙᴏᴜᴛ Tʜᴇ Fᴏᴜʀᴛʜ Fᴀᴄᴛɪᴏɴ: The Fourth Faction is my new animated series on Scratch. It's set in a land called Summerice, where everyone is divided into three factions. All the factions have their own community (as in, they live separately), color (all the members of a faction have to wear clothes of the faction's color) and beliefs. I know in the trailer I didn't mention what the factions' beliefs were, but here they are: Ruby -- Physical strength, fitness and agility Sapphire -- Knowledge, logic and wisdom Emerald -- Harmonious relationship with others, close bonds within the community and morale values. I'll talk a bit more about the factions later. But, anyways, in Summerice, one could choose their faction when they turn twelve. It's one of the most important decisions of a citizen of Summerice. The Aptitude Test, as mentioned in the trailer, is less of a "test" than a "screening". The "Tester" will put you to sleep and then inspect your brain to figure out what faction you belong in most. On to why this is called The Fourth Faction... well, I'll just say that there is a fourth faction, living in the forest surrounding Summerice, in secret. I won't tell you any more >:D (ONE NOTE: Some characters wear grey, I know. That means they are either a Minor, as in, under 12 and not in a faction yet, or I do not wish to disclose their faction. Nora and Janethe are wearing grey under the second term. Illea is wearing violet because it's Amethyst's color.) ----- Iɴsᴘɪʀᴀᴛɪᴏɴ ᴀɴᴅ Eᴠᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ ᴏꜰ ᴛʜᴇ ᴘʟᴏᴛʟɪɴᴇ: It started out as SPECIALIZED SCHOOLS where people chose their path in life by choosing which school to go to. There were 50+ schools in Summerice. After a bunch of twists and turns I changed it to FACTIONS, with entire different communities, where you were sorted into your faction. That meant you had NO CHOICE of your faction. Eventually I let the citizens of Summerice CHOOSE, with an aptitude test to help them. And I reduced it down to only four factions. The fourth faction only became a "secret faction" after I decided that the mission of the people of AMETHYST was too conspicious.
