I figured I would share my daily routine as a Christian Cunning Folk!! First thing I do after stretching in the morning is wash my face with a rosemary and sage infused water, and say a quick prayer asking for clear skin and a good day ahead. Then I take this rosemary-infused bee balm I have and rub it on the three gateways (temple, wrists, base of neck) and recite one of the Psalms or a quick prayer. For makeup, I draw three small dots on my forehead, a representation of the Holy Trinity. When I get downstairs, I make coffee or tea, and stir counterclockwise to invite good things into my day. At school, I try to focus heavily on 'informal prayer', which is saying small prayers for things in the moment rather than saying 'I'll pray about it when I get home' and forgetting. I always wear a cross necklace that I blessed with St Johns Wort, a Rowan berry necklace, and an iron key necklace. I also blessed the Rowan with prayer, olive oil, and a verse from the Psalms. I cleanse the key every once in awhile, as sometimes it needs to let go of the negative energy it absorbed. Whenever I bake or cook, I always do so with intention, baking positive energy into whatever I make. Same goes with preparing even simple lunches. When I get home, I say a formal prayer where I put on my veil, grab out some herbs based on what I am praying about, and kneel before my 'altar'. Then I go to bed with God's protection over me! If anyone wants to know anything else, feel free to ask. That is the day in the life of a Christian Cunning Folk!! :) (I have not yet gotten to the actual 'Cunning Folk' part, I am just learning my practice still. I want to start telling people I trust, and potentially helping and providing for them as a Cunning Folk once would.)
