In the Bactan region of the Territory of Inago of Naui Tu, there is a Spanish minority of about 31,000 people, alongside the main Tuunitas majority of about 38,000 people, and a minority of 5,600 people of different culture. To fulfill television programming for this minority, a television channel, called Televisión Española de Bactan was launched in May 1, 1972. It was a joint venture between the Inago Broadcasting Corporation (IBC) and RTVE. In 1991, RTVE sold its share of the channel into IBC. Today, it is known as Inago en Español, which was the result of a 1992 rebrand.
