an experiment. scientists put the three Alola starters in the same room, wanting to see how they reacted, so anything wouldn't go wrong when trainers picked out their starter. but.. something exploded. the nearby power plant. the radiation molded them together (they were huddled up after hearing the sirens). nobody was there to help them, finally, they fused into.. this monster. it found a way out and it is usually found near bodies of water, in the tall grass, or volcano. they'll never evolve. sometimes a vine, a normal one, will slide out of the water, light up on fire, and trip a trainer, then proceeding to drag it underwater. the best way to catch it is to use a master ball. it can learn most moves that the three starters can learn.
