So recently I bought the 2026 James and a while earlier I bought Gordon. Let's start with Gordon. At first I was like, "Huh, he looks really cool." Once I got back home my first thought was to test Gordon on different track types, and I was very disappointed. Here's the results of different tests: Take n Play: Scales well with most of the engines and rolling stock. But he his HORRIBLE on curves, the tender would jump off the tracks due to how close it is to Gordon. Wooden Railway: Scaling wise he looks very short in height compared to any Wooden Railway merch. He works well on the broader curves but has the same issue on the tighter curves, which is the tender jumping. Trackmaster 1: Scaling is alright to say the least. He does mediocre on the curves but derails on switches. Trackmaster Revolution: All I can say is he did good. There's not much else I can say other than that the tender needs to be spaced out a bit more. Now on to James. First off he is much MUCH better than Gordon. His tender is spaced out enough to fit around any track from any merch range. He scales very well with Take n Play. One last thing I can add is that the tenders need either an extra wheel in the middle or shorten them without the extra wheel.
