Wow. Four years have really passed by that fast, huh? I remember joining around the first anniversary (2022 I think? All I remember was that the TN was an orange cat lol), and feeling...peace. Peace at finding where I finally belonged. And I want to thank Petra for being the creator of such a wholesome and amazing community. We may have had our issues and differences, but what matters is coming together, stronger, afterwards. So in honor of my three years of being a member of Gens (and Generations fourth year running), I'm writing a short summary of all of my cat's lives. Fawnfreckle: My first character, mainly figuring everything out. Her mate was actually a cat owned by @QueenThorn15 iirc, and was also my first murderous killer. Died at 60 moons due to smoke inhalation from the first MC fire. Spikefin: My first male character! I don't remember too much with him, but I remember being VERY attached to him, and being very sad when he died to Cloudedglade's sickness (pretty sure his mate also did-). He was the character I used for one of Petra's Gens MAPs (or a Gens map in general) using the song "Your Going To Go Far, Kid". Peacocktail: After Spikefin's passing, I took a break from Gens. But I remember returning and seeing little Peacocktail (at the time Peacockkit) in a litter, and immediately connecting to him. He was my favorite, and I loved him! He had a mate, Dappledsomething (I forget the suffix tbh), and died to his sister, Peahenstar. Gingerflicker: I forget if I had any characters between Peacock and Ginger tbh. But Ginger was honestly my favorite cat!! He was my first Urchinclan cat, and was under Snapdragonstar's rule. Because of this, and the fact he joined a group whose leader was in UC and believed in Starclan, he had to fight Pebbleshore (his best friend!!). He unfortunately lost due to a 1 exp difference (he has 17/18, Pebble had 18/17), and died. Shadowgrace / Rememberanceshadow: My first polyamorous character, and first descendant of another cat (child of Ginger)! I truly loved Shadow, and she was also genderfluid (using any/all pronouns)! He wanted to become a loner with their mates, but was killed by an apprentice (this was arranged, however, as I genuinely swamped with schoolwork). Periwinkleblossom: Forgetting if there was any characters between Shadow and Peri again. ;-; ANYWAYS Periwinkle had been a very lax character, only having less than 25 fighting in total. I mainly had her due to the first MC revival, and killed her off at 16 moons (due to not enjoying her story). Silence: My first KP character! I had a lot planned (which didn't go to plan gulp-), and due to school stress + stress of not having his story go to plan, I killed him off early. Grandeurphantom: GRANDEUR GRANDEUR GRANDEUR. Holy Starclan she was my FAVORITE character, and her death was so cinema. My first highrank, and my most lore-filled character. If I could ever redo her life, I would keep everything the same. I feel like nothing could have made her better. <3333 Anglerfishpaw: My current character! He's very lore-filled so far, but I plan on getting this dude ripped (coughs in Fatefracture). Cheers to their lore, and what will come of it!
