Fireflies of Friendship~ On quiet nights when skies turn blue, I see little lights shining through. They dance and glow, so warm and bright, Like tiny memories in the night. And somehow, they remind me of you, Of all the silly things we used to do. The days we laughed, the days we grew, The little moments that felt brand new. We started as strangers, then became friends, Not knowing where the journey would end. We shared our dreams, our hopes, our plans, And helped each other when we could. We made a treehouse out of dreams, Filled with laughter and silly schemes. We talked for hours beneath the sky, And watched the clouds slowly drift by. I remember our football games, Our board games and our funny names. The friendship bracelet, made with care, And all the little jokes we shared. “Look! An aeroplane!” we'd shout, Then point at the sky and jump about. Birthdays came with smiles and cheer, And somehow became the best days of the year. We played games until the sun went down, Ludo, snakes and ladders all around. Tic-tac-toe and hide-and-seek, New little memories every week. Sometimes we argued, sometimes we'd fight, But somehow things would still turn right. A silly smile, a simple hello, And suddenly there was nowhere else to go. Some memories may fade with time, But I hope these little ones stay mine. The laughter, the games, the endless fun, The countless days we spent as one. What really makes a friendship true? Is it all the things a friend can do? Or is it simply knowing that Someone will stay when days are bad? A friend is someone who hears your voice, Someone who makes you laugh and rejoice. Someone who knows when words aren't needed, And stays beside you when you're defeated. A friend can read the look on your face, And somehow make the sadness disappear. They share your joy, they share your tears, And become a part of your growing years. Friends turn ordinary days into gold, And make the world feel less cold. They leave small sparks wherever they go, Just like fireflies with their gentle glow. Making a friend may take some time, But keeping one is a beautiful climb. Years may pass and places may change, Yet true memories never feel strange. Maybe one day we'll walk apart, But you'll still have a place in my heart. Different roads may call our names, But I'll remember our little games. So whenever you see fireflies glow, Think of the friendship we used to know. Think of the laughter, the dreams, the days, And all the memories in - An original poem by Soul ~
