When looking at someone's OC, instead of assuming who it is and calling them that character, just ask. It doesn't hurt to ask. What can hurt at times is putting one's character (which may or may not be related to the character you assume it is or is based off to) under some assumption, without knowing you might be wrong. You aren't even taking the time to get to know this character. So please. I'm not just saying this for me. I've seen this happen to a lot of people.
