ALSO background experiment do we like it guys is it whimsical :holding-back-tears: [ yap ] » tw: cringey /silly (tldr: me remniscing about my art journey like an old person) » gang not to brag or anything but im actually really proud of how far i've come with art lol. like if you had told me four years ago that i finally found an artstyle i like despite being so stubborn about having a noseless style i would not have believed you. not to sound self-depricating but a lot of the times (even now) i just go down this rabbit hole where i start doubting my artstyle. it's really hard having a noseless style because there's only so much you can do with it. there comes to a point where you just hit an asymptote in improvement (apologies for the math reference, i don't think i used that in the correct context at ALL but you get what i mean), and you lowk just see everybody get better and better and do cooler things that you couldn't do with your current artstyle. i've thought a LOT about changing my artstyle again because a noseless style limits a lot. it's difficult to do perspective and achieve a 3d look that would elevate a lot of pieces and make them more interesting. i almost reached this point this summer, but (thankfully) i received many compliments on my artfight art dump that really boosted my confidence in my current style! but yeah. this summer actually, a few artists that i've really looked up to since i first began drawing followed me here and i realized how far i've come. i shouldn't change my artstyle just because it's not the "usual" aesthetic that every artist likes. art is a very objective field, and i think my current style truly reflects who i am! everyone has different tastes, and you’ll find your audience eventually. i just wanted to get this message across lol, because younger me lowk needed to hear it :'D thank you everyone who has supported me throughout these four years!!
