LISTEN UP MY CANDIES! I don't have anyone to talk to about this irl yet, so sorry this isn't a happy post nor a post everyone can view. But I think having sad feelings should be normalized rather then hidden away or ignored because some people just need someone to listen. So, safe space in comment below for venting just keep it appropriate and respectful please. Also, TW for Homophobia and Obesophobia below. You're perfect how you are. Stay safe. Love you guys. So I'm nonbinary and aro/ase, and even though my family loves me and I love them, they aren't exactly completely supportive of me. I get lots of comments like "it's just a phase" or "So are you just gay, then?" or just stuff like "you're just identifying like that because it's trendy right now" from my own family. Also, when my family talks about other nonbinary and aro/ase people they are not respectful. They say stuff like, "They're just confused people" or "they just want attention", or "they're just hiding being gay", and don't get me wrong, I am completely supportive of being LGBTQ+ and don't see being called gay as an insult, but it's a fact they won't acknowledge the fact that I don't feel those emotions. It honestly really hurts. I can't put into words to explain to them why what they say about other people, or too me, hurts me. But part of my feels like they just won't listen. Or get insulted. I became nonbinary for many reason which I want to talk about sometime soon, but it's really important to me and has helped me became way more confident and healthy as a person. When I became Aro/Ase, I found a whole community of people who are like me, which finally made me feel whole. Becoming part of the LGBTQ+ community was honestly one of the best decision I've ever made. I know that. It just makes me so sad when the people closest to me can't acknowledge that. Now listen, if someone makes you feel like this you should tell them how you feel right away because things will probably just get worse if you let it continue. But I just can't find the words. It's hard and I'm scared. If you feel this way, please talk to someone. You're not alone. Please think about what you say when you make fun of other innocent people. Because sometimes that could apply to someone in your life who takes those personally. I also had a similar problem with body image, and I know I have mental struggle that I need help with. I'm working on it, and please don't take this as a cry for help. I don't want you to worry about me. I just want people to feel more validated if they feel the same way. Because sometimes you just need someone else to say it. But finally, thank you all for supporting me. I appreciate all you're care and love for my art. Sometimes my art is the only way I can express myself. So thank you again, I love you all. So just take a breath and love yourself. You deserve it. ∧_∧.
