He tried to tame a Pachycrocuta but was very unsuccessful. Get better soon, Jack. Anyways, these animals love to eat herbivores like Chalicotherium and rarely, Pachystruthio. Pachycrocuta can sometimes be found in caves, with piles of bones all around, but don't expect them to start filing taxes, for they don't know how. When not in caves, they can be found in warmer biomes. Thankfully these guys didn't live in Missouri, otherwise they wouldn't be able to vote! Pachycrocuta can be tamed with bones or rotten meat, but it is far more difficult compared to taming a wolf. Once tamed, Pachycrocuta can be equipped with a bundle. Along with collecting the drops from its kills, a tamed Pachycrucuta increases the luck for rarer drops. This strange hyena relative will go on a passive mob killing spree if you give them a bundle and a drumstick bone, but be warned, do NOT feed them bread or... they will... t-they will... loaf..." - Sena Zoic, Jack Wyoming, Paleontology textbook entry
