Most of the How to make an OC stuff focused on the looks of the OC. I mean, yeah, the looks of your OC IS important, but I think personality and backstory is more important :/ Another thing I want to talk about is using avatar creators to design your OC. I think this is fine, BUT you shouldn't use the avatar creators to create your OC, and then CLAIM THE ART AS YOUR OWN. That's art theft, which is entirely another topic. Sometimes, I like to use avatar creators to design outfit and other stuff. But I DONT claim the art as my own. One of my favorite avatar making websites is: RinMaruGames http://www.rinmarugames.com/ Now, what I mean by "use them for design purposes, but don't claim them as your own" is that you can use the website so that you can design outfits and other stuff for your character easily. You can get an idea of the outfits and such and such...... However, you should NEVER take a screenshot of the avatar/outfit you made, and then claim it as your own. Like I said before, that's technically art theft.
