Welcome to SDAS first event of the session! A big thank you to @Norwth for creating this thumbnail! Timeline ----- 10/12 - 10/17 : Workshop entries are open 10/17 - 11/1 : Critics will review entries 11/10 : Critiques will be compiled and published FAQ ------ Q : Do I use the username I signed up to SDAS with or my current one? A : Use the one you signed up with! This is so that we can verify your eligibility Q : What does "art subject" include? A : Feral/Anthro/Human/Humanoid/Landscape and anything really! The only thing we ask is to not include animations since this would be very difficult to compile. Q : What do I put for "specific area of feedback"? A : E.g. composition/rendering/color theory etc.! It is important to note that even while you may list an area of feedback, it will be noted though not guaranteed that you will receive critique on it! It is up to the guest critics themselves to decide what to provide feedback on. Q : How is this workshop different from mentorship? A : The scope of our mentorship program only entails comment-based feedback. While some mentors have gone above to create visual demonstration, this is not expected. Because many mentors are understandably busy, responsiveness is not uniform amongst pairs. Furthermore, due to the sheer volume of applications, some interests/focuses had to be compromised. In order to balance these considerations, this workshop provides an equal opportunity to receive quality feedback for anyone in the program. In other words, this workshop was designed to complement mentorship! Q : Will every entry be critiqued? A : Most likely not. As our panel of critics are guests, they are given the freedom to decide how many pieces to review. Nonetheless, our critics cover a wide variety of subject/styles, and thus critique is aimed to be educational for all regardless of selection!
