So you want to know how I make cool creative things, eh?? Here’s some things I do: 1. Take inspiration from dreams Sure, dreams can be magical places that your mind simulates for you while you’re asleep, but I actually treasure them as HUGE THINGS TO ADD TO STORIES. Dreams also have meaning too, which can bring a sense of meaning into your creative works. I have a few things that I actually based off of dreams, like when I was in 3rd grade I had one where it was this giant racetrack where gravity didn’t work, and it was by a castle. I saw one of my OCs as a false version, (the castle was nearby, where she lived) who later shapeshifted into a creature known as the Moldusky. Then the real version of my OC came to slay the beast and free everyone from the giant racetrack. This became an idea I tried making into a book as a craft, but later scrapped it due to procrastination (… or maybe I can bring it back someday.) I had another dream where I was falling through clear skies and landing on sky islands. That dream is what inspired Coradin, a region/continent in the purrwing world, and nicknamed it “the land of the sky”. Basing my creations off of dreams is how I create the baselines (and even events) of a story. Maybe try inspiring creative works off dreams sometime, it might work out for you! 2. Try integrating your passions If you have any interests in anything, like sports, or animals (like cats hahahah) or other things you enjoy, I encourage adding stuff like that into creative things!! Like I love cats, so I made all my characters feline, for example. 3. LET YOURSELF ZONE OUT :) I believe that zoning out is a way your mind wants to organize its thoughts, but you can also have some ideas lying around as well. Why does nobody let people zone out, ITS A VERY NATURAL THING. THERES NO PROBLEM WITH IT LIKE EVERYONE THINKS. (sorry got kind of worked up lol) 4. (maybe not for everyone) Expressing thoughts in creative projects If you always had something you felt as wrong and you don’t have enough courage to come out with that opinion as yourself, I recommend expressing it in art, characters, etc. like if you are a kind of person whose been excluded a lot, maybe try creating a character that’s been an outlier their whole life and write them as if you were writing your own story. Relatable characters are often loved for their relatability, obviously!! And that’s pretty much it, idk a good outro though but i hope these ideas help you
