~ BRIEF INSTRUCTIONS ~ [0-9] to change into different particles, [SPACE] as an alternative to [0] for changing into a neutrino, [ARROW KEYS] to shoot photons, [R] to reset, [S] to save/load. The player (small particle) must interact with other particles to complete the objectives in the bottom right corner before reaching the green circled particle. ~ FULL INSTRUCTIONS ~ In The Particle Game, you play as a neutrino that can switch forms at will, becoming different types of particles to interact in different ways with the environment (which is also made of particles). The goal is to (a) complete all of the goals displayed in the bottom right corner, if there are any, and (b) get to the green-circled particle. The laws of physics will govern your movement, so make sure to read how they work below. Try to beat all 18 levels! Number keys allow you to switch forms, as shown in the bottom left, and arrow keys allow you to use photons when enabled. Space can be used as an alternative to 0 for changing into a neutrino. R to reset a level and S to save progress at the current level (will end game) or load progress from the start screen. The player and other particles interact through force: - Neutrinos (white) do not interact with anything. - Protons (red) interact with electrons, atoms, antiatoms, and protons. - Electrons (blue) interact with protons, atoms, antiatoms, and electrons. - Neutrons (gray) interact with gravitons, antigravitons, and neutrons. - Gravitons (green) interact with neutrons, atoms, antiatoms, heavy matter, and heavy antimatter. - Antigravitons (orange) interact with neutrons, atoms, antiatoms, heavy matter, and heavy antimatter. - Atoms (blue with red center) interact with gravitons, antigravitons, electrons, protons, antiatoms, heavy matter, heavy antimatter, and atoms. - Antiatoms (red with blue center) interact with gravitons, antigravitons, electrons, protons, atoms, heavy matter, heavy antimatter, and antiatoms. - Heavy matter (purple) interacts with gravitons, antigravitons, atoms, antiatoms, heavy antimatter, and heavy matter. - Heavy antimatter (black) interacts with gravitons, antigravitons, atoms, antiatoms, heavy matter, and heavy antimatter. Some also have special abilities: - Heavy matter and heavy antimatter move slowly. - Atoms and antiatoms annihilate and release a neutrino. - Heavy matter and heavy antimatter annihilate and release a neutrino. - Atoms combine to form heavy matter, releasing a neutrino. - Antiatoms combine to form heavy antimatter, releasing a neutrino. - Photons (yellow) can be emitted by the player particle to give it a boost.
Loosely based on particle physics. Not all interactions are accurate or included. Code, visuals, and music: @indium13 Inspired by @owaiso More levels coming soon (possibly).
