you're not in trouble i promise lol i'd just like to tell a story some of you might be aware that mario kart wii is my favorite game of all time and, not counting my weird roblox phase in middle school, it's been that way since i was little. unfortunately, i haven't found the chance to play mario kart wii, or any wii games in general, since i was maybe eight years old. until wednesday. genuinely, the nostalgia hit me like a ton of bricks and i was smiling like the whole time through. the controls were super duper weird as opposed to the more modern style (i don't use tilt controls), but other than that i had an outstanding time. i used peach, baby peach, and my old main, yoshi. (yoshi sugarscoot was my main build when i was little :3) i did a test race first, on luigi circuit and using peach. i didn't finish because someone else wanted to play (note that my mom is completely unaware i even got to play mkwii lol this was not at my house). we selected vs race and did luigi circuit first. i managed to snag first :3 and then i did horribly like the rest of the game but somehow topped out at like 3rd in the final results (the next races were mario circuit, n64 mario raceway, and toad's factory). time trials by myself was next. i picked yoshi sugarscoot for nostalgia and i did coconut mall and dk summit. i sucked. i did one more real race on koopa cape, and i came in eighth but i'm still the queen of mario kart wii i promise ;-; it was such an amazing bit of nostalgia for me, even if everything happened in the course of under an hour.
