Origins in Old Mondstadt Decarabian's Rule: Long ago, Old Mondstadt was trapped under a fierce storm barrier created by the tyrant god Decarabian. The Nameless Bard: The small wind spirit befriended a young, nameless bard who dreamed of seeing birds fly and hearing true music. The Rebellion: The spirit, the bard, a rebellious knight, and a hunter joined the fight to overthrow Decarabian. The Sacrifice: Decarabian fell during the rebellion, but the nameless bard lost his life in the fierce battle. Ascension and Freedom Becoming Barbatos: With Decarabian's death, the old divine seat crumbled, and the tiny wind spirit absorbed the divine energy to become Barbatos, the new Anemo Archon. Taking a Form: To honor his fallen friend, the spirit shaped his human appearance to match the dead bard. Stepping Down: Fearing that ruling directly would turn him into a tyrant like Decarabian, Venti gave up direct control and left Mondstadt as a land of freedom. Wandering Bard: He spends most of his time sleeping or wandering disguised as a tone-deaf bard, only waking or stepping in when Mondstadt faces a major crisis.
