Just as if i was drifting along, I actually have that feeling of prefering to do something that evokes a daydream, or a nostalgic feeling by no-cliché feelings, like static, overused effects, or simply s****y ways of doing so. It's really not acceptable by those methods to evoke a feeling of safety, or even nostalgia.
