UPDATE 07. | Polework with Beach Today was polework day with Beach so I decided to put out a couple of canter poles to really work on his overall engagement and topline. The weather has definitely taken a turn and it is getting chilly! Thankfully Beach has not yet had to be clipped so we dont have to worry about him getting cold at the min. We began the session with a nice long warm up working on stretching in the trot and a bit of lateral work in leg yield. We then worked up to canter and worked on getting him relaxed as he is still very young and green we want him to associate work with positivity and not mental or physical strain. I first trotted him through the poles which he was very happy and comfortable doing so we popped through them in canter on both reins and decided to leave it there for today's session!
