Chapter 5: The Castle (pt 1) TWO WEEKS LATER: "Do you think we can recover the rest of our memory here?" Zelda asked. We had arrived at Hyrule Castle hoping we'd find anything of importance to recovering our memory. "I don't know, but hey. You're the Princess and I'm a royal knight. It makes sense." Except, the castle wasn't anything like I expected it to be. It didn't feel like the home I barely remember—it felt like a monument to my own failure for some reason. Sitting on a jagged island in the middle of a flooded crater, it dominated the center of the world, it's dark and jagged silhouette piercing the sky. Some sort of dark red and purple snake creature orbited it, spreading pieces of what seemed to be solid darkness through the air. Ancient robotic creatures stalked the whole castle. "Well that looks welcoming." I muttered sarcastically. "Look!" Zelda said, pointing to a whole in the bottom of the foundation. There was a small passage with a cart rail. "Maybe we can get in through there." she said, hopping onto a small wooden boat that was tied to a wooden pole. I pulled out my sword and cut the rope, and the boat took off. I tried my best to steer as Zelda guided me to the passage. As we hit land, we followed the rail to where the cart was. Three small ice-rock monsters waited. They rose from the ground as one tried to swing at me. I dodged the attack and swung my sword at the monster. My sword merely froze from the monster's icy shell, sending a chill up my body and leaving the monster unharmed. "We can't hurt em'!" I yelled. "Calm down! I have an idea!" Zelda replied. She pulled out the ancient technology that was strapped onto her waist, aimed it at the monsters, and froze them in time, trapping them in yellow glowing energy. "Shiekah Slate." She said, grinning. We hopped into the cart. Zelda used her Sheikah slate once again to summon a round glowing blue orb. She put it at the back of the cart, and blew it up. The cart launched off, taking us through the passage. "How'd you remember that?" I asked as we rode. "I don't know! But it's helpful!" She said, smiling. We rode into the castle, and I secretly hoped this wouldn't be as bad as it looked.
Hope you like it! Chapter 6 coming soon! Note: I just noticed that in the title art, I spelled "forest" wrong! If you noticed, just know I noticed, too!
