AND ADD YOUR PROJS TO SO MANY STUDIOS!!! make sure the people and studios you advertise to are okay with ads first though because im sure we all know its annoying to get unwanted ads! release single songs instead of EPs or albums starting out! this is to ensure you can have more comebacks and therefore keep yourself/your group in the spotlight more often + you don't want to overwhelm your members with lines at first if you do release an EP or album don't post all the songs on the same day (or probably even within the same week) because again this will keep yourself/your group at the front of the comm's mind for longer for groups, don't pick the whole lineup based on popularity but i think it helps to have at least one or two well-known spoppers in the group, because people will be more likely to think the group's stuff is high quality if they've already seen that a couple certain members' solo stuff is high quality you don't have to cover popular songs! cover what actually fits the concept instead of what you /think/ will blow up! remember when kdnse debuted and made bonnie & clyde by yuqi a trend? it can work! + debuting with a relatively unknown song or unpopular concept will set you apart from the crowd, because you want to have a recognizable brand. like you know how every y2k style kpop group is accused of copying newjeans if you're planning on advertising to mostly "aesthetic" spaces you do need a good thumbnail because its peoples first impression yk, if you aren't confident in your thumb making yet maybe you can go to one of those aesthetic shops and commission one covering a song i actually like (as a soloist or with a group) gives me more motivation to mix and promote it well because i wanna do the song justice yk but if there is a trending kpop song you genuinely really like i would encourage covering it because it probably will get views enter yourself/your groups into contests like sgt and vocal vanguards! most singing competitions on scratch do actually allow groups btw put effort into learning how to mix well, you can promote just about anything a lot and get views but please don't let one good thumb carry an entire song iykwim this tip is really underrated but if there's an sds (scratch design studio) theme you really like, cover a song that fits the theme and add it to that studio! i kind of lucked out when i was promoting yeah and rainbow because the theme was "feel the beat" which just meant music in general. the current sds is always linked to on the "scratch news" part of the homepage make sure to keep in mind that the point of spop is to have fun and just make music and not to just get a lot of views, ive gotten a 12 hour mute for advertising before im sure theres such a thing as getting too greedy yk
