- The house - Hi again Thanks for letting me talk to you Im doing ok now ... I think Thanks for letting the soda run flat and letting the butterfly melt away Im rebuilding now with slight memories of you, but the walls remain bare some room for new pictures The air is thick with carbonation so I opened all the windows wafting out and away slowly but surely Im still calming my heart its going to be alright there will be a space next to me I'll make sure of it I wonder whats next I wonder who'll fill the pit up this time even if temporary, Im still gonna wonder In the meantime I'll scrub it down fold the blankets throw out the soda cans make it presentable for someone else I'll repair the walls so it isnt so cold in here I'll fix the fireplace and leave the door cracked a smidge Because I dont want to lock the door to love its too precious to be shut out maybe I'll hold off on showing them the bedroom until I can trust they wont wreck the building The house is lonely without love but I need this solidarity I need time to admire the emptiness before I admire a crush
