Lily, from the front of the group, looked over her shoulder at Rose in the back. Her hazel eyes pierced into Rose’s emerald eyes. “Rose, cheer up! You’re supposed to be having fun with us!” “I was having my own fun reading my mystery,” Rose groaned. “Ooh, yeah? What’s it about? The girl who has to find her fun?” Noah teased. Elbowing Rose playfully. Rose couldn’t help but smile. “No, it’s about a girl who has five nights to find her sister,” Rose answered calmly. She liked Noah, not just as a friend but something more. She hadn’t told him, she was scared that if she did, he’d reject her or he already felt the same about someone else. Even though Noah was Lily’s identical twin, the two were in fact opposites. Noah was sporty and adventurous, while Lily was more interested in cozy vibes and cheesy, or at least they were to Rose, romance movies and novels. “Pft, why only five nights? What, was her sister kidnapped or something?” Noah scoffed teasingly. “Eh, kinda. But it’s all for a game,” Rose replied smoothly. “Wow, I would not win that game.” Lily stopped dead in her tracks. “Noah! You wouldn’t find me!?” “No, you think I’m that smart?” Noah joked. “I’d at least try, not that I’d win, but at least I’d try.” “I guess,” came Lily as the group kept walking till they reached the section of the arcade for four players. The smallest section. “Hey, why don’t we play the Jurassic Park game?” Suggested Emma. She’d finally spoken up from being awfully quiet for a while. “Or we could do the zombie apocalypse game,” Rose brightened at the thought. If there was one thing Rose loved, it was horrors, thrillers, and mysteries. And, on occasion, true crime. “Rose! You know that game gives me the creeps.” Lily physically shuddered. “Besides, dinosaurs are cute!” “Yeah, when they’re not trying to eat you.” “Noah, do you have to ruin my moment!?” “I’m your brother, of course I do.” “Dino’s it is,” Emma decided as they headed in the direction of the Jurassic Park game. Inside the stand, there were four sets with four fake game guns each with a different color. Noah got blue, Emma got green, Lily got yellow, and Rose got red. Red wasn’t her favorite color, she preferred green and purple, but it was still third on her list. As long as it’s not pink, she’d be chill with any color. The game was fun, Lily was the first to die, as always. “I don’t get it!” Lily complained as they neared their table. “Why do I always die first!?” “Because you're terrible at video games.” “Noah! I do not!” “Then why do you always die first?” “Fair,” Lily sighed. “For what it’s worth Lily, everyone has their skills. Gaming just isn’t one of yours,” Emma said. Cheering Lily up in an instant. Emma had a skill for that, always being there, always knowing what to say, she was Rose’s best friend since kindergarten. Rose would even consider Emma like a sister. When they sat at their table, a female waitress with a friendly smile came by with a platter of pizza, cups, and a jug of soda. “Enjoy!” She said before walking back towards the kitchen. “Ooh yeah! Food!” Noah beamed. Already grabbing a slice of the cheesy pizza and digging in. Lily laughed before grabbing a slice herself. Followed by Emma, then Rose. For an arcade restaurant, the pizza was good. Rose didn’t know how, but it was good. “Look! The performers are saying hi to people!” Lily said with a mouthful of pizza. Pointing towards the front of the stage where Kitty signed autographs, Dahlie took selfies, and Clove knelt while talking with a group of kids.
