CHAPTER ONE: (Vee) Dust settled on the top of Vee’s screen. She had been lying down for who knows how long, but she was awake though nonetheless. Memory suddenly came flooding back to her. Gardenview shutting down, Dyle becoming Twisted, and Brightney- where was Brightney? She remembered that there were no more batteries in the package and after that she couldn’t think of anything else. Vee jumped up off of the ground. She was in the same stupid computer room she was in before, not being able to get out. But if she was awake right now then someone must have gotten in. She assumed it was either Brightney or Astro. As she frantically ran around the room she saw a massive hole in the ceiling. Below it was an arm that was underneath of smashed ceiling tiles… one that looked like Brightney’s. Vee fell backwards onto the floor and she probably would’ve been crying if she weren’t just a stupid computer. Brightney had always been annoying, but Vee still CARED about her… ‘Whatever’, Vee thought, ‘I need to get over this and leave this room or else I’ll just run out of batteries again. And who knows if I’ll get lucky enough for someone to put more in like this time… I need to make Brightney’s sacrifice worth it. She would probably be alive if she didn’t come to rescue me, so I /need/ to get out.’ Vee checked her surroundings. The ceiling was low enough that she could elevate herself off of the fallen ceiling tiles and up into the massive hole. Carefully, she walked up onto the crashed tiles and readied herself to jump. She propelled herself into the air and barged managed to grasp onto a metal pole that she used to pull herself up into the hole. Once she was in, she saw another toon holding a flashlight and was right in front of her. Astro. “Vee!?!?” Astro exclaimed, his draw dropping. “Astro??” Vee replied. “You’re here! I’m here too, but uh- I mean, you see.. Brightn-” She was cut off by Astro hugging her. “I’m glad you’re okay.” He said. Vee pushed him off of her. “Uh- you too, I guess. Are any other toons with you?” Astro shrugged. “Shelly and Sprout and Cosmo are here too.” He motioned for her to follow as he crawled back through the ceiling. Vee followed. It was good to know that there were other toons alive.
