Chapter Fifteen: Dead Ringer 007n7 awoke in the cabin, as he knew he would. He walked to his room, ignoring anybody trying to talk to him. He sat on the edge of his bed and pulled out a picture. 007n7 was giving C00lkid a piggyback. Every time 007n7 looked at this picture, he was filled with sadness and dread. This picture carried a horrible memory, but all 007n7 could remember was a loud bang and pain. “Guest, don't bother him. He just got killed by his son!” Elliot said as he set food on the table. ‘Unless you've forgotten, Elliot, I'm also a father. I can imagine the pain he's going through. I can help him!” “I'd listen to the kid, Guest. He's pretty smart.” Builderman said. “I agree with Mr Builderman. Our dear Elliot is quite intelligent,” Two Time said from the corner. “Jesus Two Time, how long have you been there?” Shedletsky asked. “Five minutes,” Veeronica answered first. ‘How do you know that?” Noob asked. “I have good eyesight,” Veeronica said, shrugging. “Do robots even have eyesight?” Dusekkar asked. “Hey, I'm as human as any of you! But, to answer your question… I'm not exactly sure?” Shedletsky looked at his watch. “Damn, it's already 11? We should get some sleep. We don't know what's going to happen tomorrow…” Elliot nodded. ‘I agree. Cmon, everyone, get to bed.” Noob lay in bed, looking at the ceiling. His mind was running with questions, very few with answers. Where were we? Hell? Why were they there? Sure, some of them had done evil things, like Taph, but someone like Elliot being here made no sense. Then again, everyone had their secrets. Noob looked over at their nightstand. There was a framed picture of Noob and Guest 666, having the time of their lives. Noob picked up the picture and looked at it with longing. Oh, how they wished they were back there, so they could apologise to Sixer. Noob put the picture back on the nightstand and went to sleep. “Noob! Wake up! The rounds going to start soon!” Noob sat up in bed, rubbing his eyes and yawning. They grabbed some clothes and walked downstairs. Everyone was already waiting in the living room, watching the timer tick down. “More rounds? What even changed and started these rounds?” Vee asked. “Who knows. But we have to get through this,” Guest answered. “ See yall,” Chance said as their vision went black. ‘Hey Duse, it's Glasshouses!” Shedletsky said, looking around. “God, the memories! Sure, it's not in its best shape, but at least it's standing!” Duse nodded. “It is nice to see such a memorable area. However, we must remain alert.” Shedletsky stuck his sword into the ground and put his shoulder on the handle, leaning on it as he pulled out a piece of fried chicken. “Come on, Duse, relax. This is a pretty open area, I think we would see someone coming!” But Dusekkar wasn't paying attention. He squinted and put his hand above his eyes to block out the sun, looking in the distance. “Uhm, Shedletsky, what is that?” Shedletsky walked next to Dusekkar and looked in the direction he was looking. In the distance was a large creature with black fur and red horns and tail. “What the he-” Shedletsky couldnt finish, as the creature suddenly leaped, crossing the huge distance in such a short time, grabbing Shedletsky and pinning him to the ground with its foot and slashing him with its huge claws before tossing him away with a roar. “Holy moly! Shedletsky run!” Sheletsky quickly scrabbled to his feet, coughing up blood and hiding behind a rock. “Hey! Big ugly thing! Over here!” Dusekkar called out, turning the creature's attention to himself. “Thanks, Elliot!” Shedletsky said, taking another bite of the pizza and watching his wounds heal. ‘It seems our dear Elliot has saved your life.” Two Time said, leaning against the rock, tossing his dagger into the air and catching it. “We have to go help Dusekkar, he's being chased!” Elliot said, squinting into the distance. “Too late,” Two Time said as Dusekkar's body was thrown, landing next to them, his head bit off. Elliot covered his mouth and looked away. “We gotta get away before the creature realises we're here.” Shedletsky stood up, his wounds fully healed. “I know where we can hide.”
Veeronica flipped her board off a rock, gaining speed as she skated from the creature. She glanced behind her and saw the creature getting ready to pounce. “Uh oh!” She said, hopping off her board and hiding behind a wall. Peeking around the corner, she saw… nothing. She looked around. It was like the creature was gone. “Vee? That you?” She heard Builderman call out. Looking in front of her, she saw Builderman walking toward her. “Builderman!” She said, standing up. Suddenly, a large shadow engulfed Builderman, and Vee looked up and saw the creature, seemingly coming from the sky, landing on Builderman, pinning him down and slashing him with its claws. Vee covered her mouth, before turning and running into a brown building. “Vee, over here!’ She heard Shedletsky call out. looking to her right, she saw a staircase, and at the top stood Shedletsky, beckoning her up. She ran up the red stairs, and saw Elliot and Two Time, standing on a ledge, looking out towards the map. Elliot turned as he heard Veeronica come up the stairs. “Vee, you're okay! I saw Builderman get jumped on… how's everyone else?” Vee looked down. “Everyone else is d3ad. I don't know about Noob though, he could be alive still.” “Probably scared out of his mind,” Shedletsky said to himself. “You do not give them enough credit. Noob is much stronger then many of you think.” Two Time said, looking out into the open. Vee walked to the ledge and looked around. “You guys might want to be careful, we can't forget it can jump-” Veeronica didn't get to finish her statement before the creature landed on her. “Uh oh, run!” Shedletsky said, quickly going down the stairs. Veeronica got tossed by the creature, and she quickly got to her feet and ran. Elliot was thrown by the creature, hitting the wall and crumpling, unable to get up as the creature approached. The creature lifted its red paw, and Elliot closed his eyes, expecting d3ath. But, instead, he heard the sound of Two Times dagger slicing through the creature's back, and it howled in pain. Two Time grabbed Elliot's arm, helping him to his feet. “You must go find dear Noob. I'll distract this foul beast.” “But Two-” Two Time shushed him, before shoving him away as the creature focused back onto him. “I'm afraid we have run out of time for arguing. You must go.” Elliot ran, glancing behind him as the creature approached Two Time. “Noob!” Elliot called out. ‘Where are you!” “I'm over here!” Noob answered, sticking his head out from behind a yellow wall. Elliot ran over, ducking behind the wall next to Noob. “Are you hurt?” He asked Noob. “No, but you are,” Noob said, handing Elliot a medkit. “Here, patch yourself up.” Elliot took the medkit and started taking care of his wounds. Noob quickly shushed him, listening. Behind the wall, they could hear the thumps of the creature, walking around, and they could hear its growling breath. The steps stopped, and they heard what sounded like sniffing, before the creature suddenly sprinted away. Noob and Elliot took a deep breath, and Elliot opened his mouth to say something, but the creature suddenly ran around the corner, st25bing Elliot in the chest, lifting his body towards its mouth, and ripping his head off. “Oh my god!” Noob said, scrambling to their feet before bolting, as the timer changed to Last Man Standing. Noob ran and, glancing behind them, saw the creature prepare to pounce. Quickly leaping out of the way, Noob felt the wind as the creature leapt past. Time seemed to slow as Noob and the creature briefly made eye contact as it flew by, a spark of recognition in its eyes. Noob crashed to the ground,as the beast slammed heavily into a wall. Shaking its head, it looked at Noob before running at them. Noob quickly scrambled to their feet, but as they tried to get up, the creature grabbed their foot, pinning them in place. Noob twisted, but it wasnt enough, as the beast attacked them, and Noob awoke in the cabin.
