Chapter Sixteen: And the Seraphine Wept “It would have appeared you knew that creature, Noob. I will ask, seeing as no one else has. Did you know them?” Two Time asked as everyone sat down to eat food. Noob paused, their fork halfway towards their mouth. Noob set the fork down and took a deep breath. “I think I knew her. But… she's changed. I don't know what happened with her.” Two Time nodded. “I understand.” Noob nodded, thanking the comfort, even if it was from a cultist. ‘Another round is going to begin,” Vee said, walking into the dining room. “God, how many of these ‘rounds’ are we gonna go through? This is like, what, the sixth or seventh already?” Shedletsky said, obviously fed up. Guest put his hand on his shoulder. “I understand your anger. But we're all in this, and we can get through this.” Shedletsky sighed. “Yeah, I know. I'm just annoyed. Nothing about this place makes sense.” Taph signed something, and Dusekkar nodded. “I agree, Taph. This place may seem like hell, but perhaps it's a place to learn.” Vee scoffed. “‘A place to learn’? Not to be rude, Taph and Dusekkar, but that's stupid.” “Gotta agree with Vee there. Anyways, the rounds about to start.” Builderman said, as their vision went black. Dusekkar watched as Two Time stabbed his dagger into the ground, and the Spawn symbol started to glow. “Okay, first of all, how the hell did you just stab a dagger into stone? Second of all, why is there a glowing Spawn symbol?” Two time smiled. “Well, the power of the Spawn lets me place a ritual no matter what obstacles may obstruct my path. I understand if you don't trust the power of the Spawn, seeing as you are a very powerful magician yourself, Dusekkar.” Two Time said, smiling. “Right…” Dusekkar said, turning to look for the others. “So where are we?” 007n7 asked from behind. “We are at Brandon6875939’s place. Or, more simply, Brandonworks.’ Dusekkar said. “How do you know?” 007n7 asked. “This place was destroyed by Robloxias demolist, Taph. It wasn't a very good place, and the story is quite disturbing,” Dusekkar answered. 007n7 nodded and looked over the small barrier. They appeared to be on top of a small castle-like building, with two ramps leading up on each side. Taph was walking up a ramp, Noob behind her. When she got to the top, she pulled out a Subspace Tripmine and threw it so it was at the top of the ramp. She walked towards the other ramp, and placed a wooden peg, wrapped a wire around it, walked towards the other edge, then set another wooden peg, wrapping the wire into a taunt string. ‘What's that for?” Noob asked. “It's a tripwire,” Taph signed. “That is quite an intelligent idea. However, won't the killer step over it?” Two Time asked. Taph looked at Two Time, looked at the tripwire, and looked back. “I haven't thought of that, okay, just trust the process,” Taph signed. Two time nodded. “I think we should look for the others; they may be in trouble,” Dusekkar said. “I agree with the magician. The others may be in dire need of assistance.” Two Time said, walking toward the ramp. “Why does he speak all fancy?” Guest hit the ground hard, the tentacle wrapping around his foot and dragging him backwards. Guest scrabbled, trying to grab onto something to resist being pulled. But his fingers scraped against dirt and rock, tearing his fingernails. He stopped being pulled, and a foot slammed onto his back. Flipping to his chest, Guests eyes met with malevolent, purple eyes. A tentacle wrapped around his throat, lifting him into the air. The killer had a hat on, covering his purple hair. The hat had a glowing purple mouth and eyes, and it glared at him. The killer's mouth was closed with what looked like a zipper, and the hat opened its mouth to speak for its host. ‘Where is Two Time?” It growled. “I'll… never tell you.” Guest choked out before spitting blood on the killer's face. The killer growled menacingly, before ripping Guests head off his body. Elliot nearly tripped over Guests body. Looking down, he covered his mouth and looked away. “Wow, looks like we know where Guest went!” Chance said, walking up next to Elliot and patting him on the back. “You okay, dude? You look like you're about to throw up.” Elliot nodded and slowly lifted his hand away from his mouth, taking a deep breath. Chance was examining something next to Guests body, and he reached down to pick it up. It was a purple flower with thorns on the stem. “What is this?” Chance asked. “That, my dear friend, is a Nightshade.” Two Time said, seemingly appearing from nowhere. “How do you know that?” Elliot asked. “One of my old… friends was a herbologist. I distinctly remember this being their favourite flower.” He plucked the flower out of Chance's hand and dropped it on the ground. “You must show caution around those. They can be deadly poisonous.” Something about the way Two Time said it made Elliot think he knew from experience, but he shrugged it off. CONTINUED BELOW
Two Time sat in the corner, his knees pressed against his chest, his mind racing. It couldn't be who he thought it was. But deep inside, he knew it was true. His dear Azure, the one he had killed, the one that made him feel so guilty that he took his own life, had been granted a second chance by the Spawn. Despite his appearance being altered, Two Time knew who it was. His mind started to race with doubts. Did Azure forgive Two Time? Would he kill him as he had killed his teammates? Or would he recognise him? Two Time didn't have an answer. All he knew was that Azure had changed. For the worse. But, like a phoenix that burned in a fire, only to rise again stronger, it seemed Azure's death had strengthened him, not weakened him. Two Time was so lost in thought that he almost didn't notice when he started to glow yellow, and the timer changed. Two Time quickly got to his feet, and Azure rounded the corner. He didn't sprint, but walked, stopping to look at Two Time. “You.” He growled. Two Time smiled, then vanished. Two Time appeared on top of the castle, right where he had set his ritual. He buckled in agony, feeling a tearing pain in his back, as wing-like structures sprouted behind him and a tail. Shakily getting to his feet, he smiled and gave a small thanks to Spawn for this second chance, even if it was painful. Looking over the castle wall, he saw Azure sprinting towards the castle. Azure ran up the ramp and slid to a stop, glaring at Two Time. ‘You don't deserve that second life,” He spat out, before sending a tentacle toward him. Two Time raised his dagger, and the tentacle wrapped around it, yanking it out of his hands. “Were you planning on stabbing me with the same dagger that killed me?” He said, dangling the dagger in front of him before tossing it away. Two Time watched the dagger arc through the air, landing on the ground with a clatter. Two Time looked back at Azure as another tentacle flew toward him. Two Time ducked to the ground, the tentacle snapping at the air before retracting. Azure growled and snapped a tentacle towards his legs, making Two Time fall. Azure wrapped another tentacle around his neck and dragged him, lifting him into the air so they were face to face. “You killed me… I LOVED YOU, AND YOU KILLED ME!” Two Time coughed, some blood dribbling out of his mouth, before answering. “I'm… sorry, Azure.” Before Azure could react, Two Time pulled the dagger out from behind his back, the one he had grabbed while dodging Azure's tentacles, and sliced the tentacle holding him up, being dropped toward the ground and running away, as the round ended. I would like to point out I made this fanfic all the way before the Jane Doe update, so I'm sorry this isn't a good portrayal of Azures abilities also press le green flag for their lms
