Me and Solstice are terrified right now. Our parents took us on a camping trip, but they disappeared a couple of hours ago. The thick trees surrounding our campsite waved in the wind, as if they were terrified too. "What time is it, Sal?" Solstice asked me. I checked my watch. Something about its red color seemed to cheer me up. "Right now, its 6:30 PM." I replied. "Maybe we should eat something?" There was a pause before Solstice started digging into her backpack. "Yeah. And we probably need something to do." She pulled out two apples, two bottles of water, and two glow sticks from her backpack. " It's gonna be dark soon, and my Dad took the only lantern." Solstice explained. " So if we hang these up we could have a light source." I nodded in agreement. The cool spring wind seemed to whisk everything about the last two hours. It was 8:56 when Solstice won our game of Imploding Puppies. "That's why I call you the queen of card games..." I muttered to myself. We laid down on our sleeping bags in silence. "Solstice," I asked. " Do you think we should go somewhere tomorrow? " Solstice thought for a second before reaching into her backpack. "Yeah, we should." She said, as she tossed me my favorite plushie. Although she was silent, I knew where she wanted to go. The answer was simple. "You want to go to the GardenView Center, don't you?" I asked, laughing a bit. Solstice nodded. Of course she wanted to go there. She and I both love that place. Then again... We didn't read the newspaper that morning.
