Bad Apple!! rendered in Scratch, with video seeking! Press J or Left Arrow to move back 10 seconds Press L or Right Arrow to move forward 10 seconds Or just control the video with your mouse. Use this link to prevent inconsistent frame timing induced by regular scratch: https://turbowarp.org/1387314445?interpolate This is not my own animation. The original animation belongs to its respective creators. This project is purely a technical demo to see how far Scratch can be pushed. The renderer uses RLE (Run-Length Encoding) to draw multiple sections of pixels at once. The video data only contains black and white. Dithering is used to create different shades of grey, while Scratch's anti-aliasing and subpixel positioning make the result look more natural. Video seeking was implemented by splitting the audio into chunks, playing the corresponding audio file, setting the volume to 0%, waiting the required amount of time (reduced using pitch 360), and then setting the volume back to 100%. This project was uploaded using a sneaky method to get around the project JSON size limit. #animation #bad #apple
